Challenge
There’s a special challenge in designing and developing a website that needs to capture the essence of spiritual and inspirational retreats. There’s a creative tension between providing information and visually expressing the ambience of the different locations and portraying the abilities of the facilitators.
The website is a booking site that allows visitors to inquire for availability of locations and facilitators. Locations, facilitators and retreats have specific information about location, time and availability, activities and forms for inquiry, which needs to be communicated in line with the breeze of spiritual earthtones.
Solution
To provide the information in the right ambience, we made use of earth tones and light but decorative fonts and elements. The straight but playful placement of photography and typography gives the design a loose but calm expression, while being informative and providing all the functionalities a booking site requires.
